Operating in the VHF maritime band, the Raymarine AIS-Automatic Identification System enables the radio exchange of navigation status between vessels and shore-side traffic monitoring centres.
Commercial ships, ocean-going vessels and recreational boats fitted with AIS transmitters broadcast AIS messages that include vessel's name, course, speed and current navigation status.
The new Raymarine AIS700 is a Class B AIS transreceiver with built-in splitter for VHF antennas. Multiple connections such as SeaTalkNG, NMEA2000, NMEA0183.
