SafeSea EPIRB1 Pro operates on the 406MHz satellite band that supports international distress frequencies and is constantly monitored by Cospas-Sarsat, the international search and rescue satellite operator, ensuring a rapid response when a signal is received anywhere in the world. Equipped with a 121.5 MHz homing signal, it is used by rescue services to locate boats in distress when they are in close proximity. In addition, the EPIRB1 is equipped with a high-brightness LED strobe light for increased awareness, especially at night. In emergency situations where the user is physically unable to reach their EPIRB in time, the EPIRB1 Pro is equipped with a Category I automatic float-free housing. This ensures that the EPIRB is automatically released from the bracket by the internal hydrostatic release, and then automatically activated and floats to the surface to send the emergency message to the satellite network. The Auto-Release Housing (ARH) comes with a handy adapter that offers more options for retrofitting using the same mounting holes previously used for older, larger EPIRBs such as the Ocean Signal E100/E100G, Jotron Tron 60s and McMurdo E5/G5.IMO and GMDSS compliantSPECIFICATIONSSatellite transmitters 406/121.5/GPS MHz:Satellite transmission: 406.040 MHz, 12 watts (maximum EIRP)Homing transmission: 121.5MHz, 50mW nominalOutput power: 5 Watts (nominal)GPS receiver: 66 channelsMEOSAR compatible: YesLow duty cycle strobe light:Light type: High Intensity LEDOutput power: >1 CandelaBattery type: Lithium primaryType: Lithium primaryChemistry: Manganese dioxide (LiMnO2)Operating time: >48 hours at -20COperating temperature range: -20C to +55C (-4F to +131F)Dimensions (EPIRB only / Antenna up): 340 x 89 x 100 mmDimensions (bracket): 237 x 191 x 121 mmWeight (EPIRB and bracket): 1250 gWeight (EPIRB only): 422 g
